    Sometimes all worlds collide like when our catering company is throwing a party inspired by Alexander Hamilton, who was born in the British West Indies, and then just getting back from Florida where we were surrounded by Caribbean exotic fruits, vegetables, and design elements. Florida is one of those places where it’s easy to see nothing beyond strip malls, big box stores, and chain restaurants but we were able to seek out a few interesting indie sites and experiences that would have made Mr. Hamilton proud.

  • Love Month

    February is our “Love Month”. Love is not only the emotions we feel towards things or people but also the experiences we encounter throughout life.  When we traveled to San Miguel Allende, Mexico we had the honor of visiting a workshop that employed men and women with disabilities and the amount of love everyone had for each other and for the products they were creating was truly inspiring.

  • Spring Break in Athens

    Even though it’s bleak here in Chicago, a girl can dream of clear bright skies and crystal blue water. We’re heading to Athens in March and are feeling inspired by all things blue and white. Fashionistas Tory Burch  and Tiffany Erickson are already singing the praises of blue and white fashion for Spring 2017 ~ so we’re certain of seeing this classic and contemporary mix in both fashion and on the table.

    Going into 2017, The Storied Table is excited to set new goals that will continue to share the stories of the many talented, unique and intriguing artisans we meet. 2016 was all about getting our feet off the ground and trying a little bit of everything to find out what was going to work for us. We learned so much about marketing, the things you all love to see and the best ways to sell our products. So, this year we will be putting all the techniques we learned to use! Since there are so many things we want to accomplish this year we decided to wrap it all up into 5 simple, attainable goals that will be both challenging and rewarding.
